How to travel to Marseille

Going to Marseille by train:

Marseille's train station, "Marseille Saint-Charles" is located in the city center and is well connected to other french cities (Paris, Nice, Toulouse, Lyon...):

https://www.sncf-connect.com/

Going to Marseille by flight:

Fly to Marseille Provence Airport. In front of the airport, take an airport shuttle (10 euros, ~30mn, more if traffic jam) from to the city center (Saint Charles train station). Those can be bought on-line in advance here:

Where to stay and what to do in Marseille

We advise to take an hotel in Marseille downtown, around Vieux Port, that is a must-see. Close to Vieux Port, you can visit the "Panier" neighbourhood.
Close to the conference, you can visit the Maison Yellow - Musée de l'Anis et Boutique, or shop at the Terasses du port.
If you stay over the week-end, take the opportunity to visit/hike in the Calanques, located at the south of Marseille.
